Branching Out Gallery 2009

  • Amboyna Vessel

Every tree, every branch has a story to tell, and if I can save it to show everyone how beautiful the tree really was- not just what you see on the outside but on the inside- then I will have done my job. Trees are living organisms that at one time or another had purpose in life. Whether it was to give a family needed shade or animals needed food. So now even if its life has ended we can preserve it, and it will continue to live, and show its beauty forever.

MID YEAR ALREADY!!!

It seems impossible that we are about to celebrate the Fourth of July again.  We just did that, didn't we?

I am staying busy with new art work and with new shipments of wood.  As some of you know, I also own an exotic wood business.  One of the many reasons that I purchased the business was to be able to have the best selection of materials to work with.  A new shipment is arriving today from Australia and I can't wait see some of the new species that I have coming in from the bush.

I will be in Michigan for two shows in July  - please send an email if you would like my entire show schedule.

Home Sweet Home

It's the end of the "out of state" festival circuit for the year, and I am home for a nice break till the first of the year.  I will be spending the next weeks in the shop - beginning work that will go with me to next year's shows.

Thanks to all the people that gave great support by way of sales or by your expressions of appreciation for my work.  Thanks to all of our family and friends.  I could not do this without all of the above...

Looking forward to next year and of seeing you at one of the shows!

Here are a couple of pics of my companions in the RV coming home from the last show  ....

On the Road Again

The spring has flown by, and now we are in, what we like to call in Atlanta, the dog days of summer.  All of the shows that I have gone to this spring were new to me, and I really enjoyed each show, each city, and the people.  I am now on the road for two shows in Michigan, and with a couple of days in between them, have big plans for a round or two of golf at the famous Michigan golf courses!

Great Start to the New Year

We are nearing the end of the first quarter of 2008 (already), and it has been a humdinger!  I spent most of the winter traveling to shows in Florida.  Hard to beat being in 80+ degree weather in Jan, Feb, and March!  I finally got my new booth display finished and managed to win an award at Coconut Grove for best booth - so it must have turned out okay!  I took a couple of days between shows to visit the everglades.  If you have never made it down to alligator alley, you are missing some of natures most beautiful work.  Here are a couple of pictures - one of my booth and a scene from Naples National, and one of a scene in the everglades.  I am on my way to Houston next and looking forward to it!!!Halfbooth2008 Dscf6079 Dscf6078
