We are nearing the end of the first quarter of 2008 (already), and it has been a humdinger! I spent most of the winter traveling to shows in Florida. Hard to beat being in 80+ degree weather in Jan, Feb, and March! I finally got my new booth display finished and managed to win an award at Coconut Grove for best booth - so it must have turned out okay! I took a couple of days between shows to visit the everglades. If you have never made it down to alligator alley, you are missing some of natures most beautiful work. Here are a couple of pictures - one of my booth and a scene from Naples National, and one of a scene in the everglades. I am on my way to Houston next and looking forward to it!!!
Stephen, we have been fans of turned wood art since the mid-eighties when we bought a Charlie Gonzalez wooden bowl in Puerto Rico. Your turned wood art is the most beautiful my husband and I have ever seen. If I can ever afford one of your larger pieces, I AM going to have it!
Congratulations on all your awards. We had visited your booth (St. James Court) early in the day yesterday, and when we returned later (before leaving, just to get a 2nd look), we saw you had been awarded first place!
